Supplemental Disaster Relief Program Stage 2 Webinar Available

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has opened applications for Stage 2 of the Supplemental Disaster Relief Program for producers who suffered crop, tree, bush or vine losses due to natural disasters that took place in 2023-24. Stage 2 provides support for losses not covered by Stage 1 of SDRP — including uninsured impacts and quality losses. The deadline for both programs is April 30, 2026.

To provide growers with more information about Stage 2 of the SDRP, the USDA California Farm Service Agency is hosting a one-hour webinar on March 10 at 10:00 a.m. Online registration for the webinar is now available.

Stage 2 of the SDRP provides assistance for:

  • Non-indemnified (including shallow) losses
  • Uncovered (uninsured) losses
  • Quality losses

The losses must be due to wildfires, hurricanes, floods, derechos, excessive heat, tornadoes, winter storms, freeze (including a polar vortex), smoke exposure, excessive moisture, qualifying drought and related conditions that occurred in calendar years 2023 and/or 2024.
