The Hass Avocado Board invites eligible Hass avocado producers and importers to join HAB and help guide the future of the U.S. avocado industry. Nominations are currently being accepted for 10 open Board seats, each of which serve three years. The deadline to submit nominations is March 27.
HAB is dedicated to strengthening the global avocado industry by expanding the market in the U.S. via key strategic priorities including nutrition research, marketing, sustainability, industry engagement and business support tools and information.
Following the nomination period, voting will take place. Eligible producers and importers must register online by April 17 in order to receive an email ballot by April 27. Votes must be submitted by May 26. Nominees who receive the highest number of votes will be submitted to the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture who will appoint members and alternates. Terms will begin November 1, 2026 and end October 31, 2029.
