Growers Encouraged to Complete USDA 2025 Organic Survey

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service has launched the 2025 Organic Survey to collect relevant nationwide data concerning organic acreage, production, sales, income, expenses and marketing practices. The survey was mailed to all known organic farms, including those transitioning to organic. Producers may complete the survey online if they prefer.

Relevant California avocado growers are encouraged complete the survey as the data is used to inform federal organic policy and programs; determine research investment and market development priorities; and outline how the size, value and impact of organic agriculture are measured and represented. The data helps ensure organic production is accurately accounted, which benefits the supply chain process. Answers will remain confidential.

The deadline to respond is February 5. The survey is available online.
