The 8th Ventura County SpraySafe Event will be held on March 5 at the Ventura County Fairgrounds from 7:30 a.m. – 1:45 p.m. The event will begin with a trade show exhibition and include morning speakers, breakout sessions and lunch.
The 15-minute breakout sessions will include the following topics:
- Checklist communication
- Mock inspection
- Spray calibration
- Nozzles/enclosed systems
- Decontamination/haz mat
- Pesticide safety training
- PPE equipment
The keynote speaker will be Casey Creamer, President/CEO California Citrus Mutual, will discuss the “Roadmap to Sustainability”. Other speakers include:
- Maureen Maguire — CEO, Farm Bureau of Ventura County
- Korinne Bell — Ventura County Agricultural Commissioner
- Danny Klittich — Director of Agronomy, Mission Produce
- Danny Pereira — General Manager, Rio Farms LLC
- Cornelio Blanco — Farm Manager, Rio Farms, LLC
