Video of the Month: Local Television Spokespersons Segments Reach Nearly 5 Million

To encourage demand and reinforce the premium positioning of California avocados, this season the California Avocado Commission partnered with various well-known, local nutrition spokespeople to secure regional TV broadcast segments in six target markets. This activity was designed to generate California Avocados brand awareness, communicate that they are in season and aid consumers in finding where to buy them. 

The spokespeople reinforced campaign messaging, including locally grown, ethically sourced and sustainably farmed, while also showcasing the fruit’s freshness, versatility and nutritional benefits — all tailored to resonate with health-minded consumers in the key local markets of San Diego, Fresno, Sacramento, the Bay Area, Phoenix and Portland. With a potential reach of nearly 5 million, these broadcast television segments put California avocados front and center in regional conversations about wellness and food choices, helping to strengthen consumer preference and deliver long-term value back to growers.
