The California Avocado Society is hosting a CAS Field Day — Avocado Growing Resilience: Fire Recovery, RCD Support and Water Security Solutions. The event will be held August 21 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Greenwood Daylily Gardens in Ventura County.
Speakers include the following:
- John Schoustra and Ben Faber — Understanding Fire Damage Recovery in the Avocado Orchard
- Emily Nye, Joshua Kouri and Coko Nakano — Farming Funding Sources
- Travis Ag — Process of Building an Ag Reservoir
Online registration for the event is required. The deadline to register is August 19. The address for the event will be provided upon registering.

CAS seminars are also presented by the California Avocado Commission and the UC Cooperative Extension.
