Commission Showcases Leadership at IFPA Women’s Fresh Perspectives Conference

From April 16 – 18, the California Avocado Commission joined female leaders from across the globe at the International Fresh Produce Association 2023 Women’s Fresh Perspectives Conference hosted in Orlando, Florida. The event provided CAC with the opportunity to network with other industry leaders and retailers while showcasing the women of the California avocado industry.

CAC Director Trade and Legal Affairs Angela Fraser took part in the speaker panel for the General Session — Women in Leadership: Unplugged. The theme of the session was “Empowered Women Empower.” Ms. Fraser was joined on the panel by IFPA Chief Executive Officer Cathy Burns and other respected female industry leaders. She also led post-panel breakout sessions with small groups of attendees.

The event provided important exposure for the Commission with trade media coverage of the event including photos and mentions of Ms. Fraser and her role at the Commission and on behalf of California avocado growers.
