The University of California Cooperative Extension Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources is hosting an Avocado Irrigation Workshop in Escondido, CA.

The workshop will include the following topics:

  • Challenges due to climate change and tools and resources to manage risks
  • Interpreting water and soil analysis reports 
  • Cost-effective irrigation tools for efficient water management
  • Considerations about the use of plant-based sensors for avocado irrigation scheduling
  • Development and evaluation of pathogens and salinity resistant avocado rootstocks
  • RCD of greater San Diego County irrigation management programs and projects
