The Restore Grant, which provides up to $25,000 in funding for implementing conservation management practices, has been reopened by Zero Footprint. The grant focuses on practices that build up healthy soil and sequester carbon such as use of cover crops, mulching, hedgerow planting, range planting and prescribed grazing.
To complete the grant application, growers must complete the following steps:
- Review the grant guidelines to determine eligibility
- Develop a scope of work for 1 – 4 of the eligible conservation practices
- Input practices into the COMET Planner (within the application) to determine carbon dioxide sequestration
- Find a Technical Assistance Provider who will sign on to the project if a grant is awarded
An online Restore Grant information session will be hosted September 24 at 12:00 p.m.
The online application is now available. Applications are due October 8.
