The University of California Cooperative Extension in San Diego is hosting an informational session entitled, “Mexican Fruit Fly: What you need to know about the current quarantine in San Diego.” The session will take place on April 29 from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. at the Farm Bureau Conference Room located at 420 South Broadway, Escondido, CA. In-person and virtual options are available.
The meeting will include presentations by Eric Middleton, IPM Advisor and Matt Fatino, Subtropical Crops Advisor. They will discuss the current quarantine and boundaries, how to identify the Mexican Fruit Fly, common hosts, eradication efforts and what you should do as growers.
For those who attend in person, a free breakfast will be served at 7:00 a.m.
