In late August, CAC released a call for research proposals to the international avocado research community. Based on the original priorities document, CAC has funded a number of projects. These projects are listed at the end of the updated research priorities document so the research community can see what has been funded, where gaps may still exist for specific priority topics, and have a general sense of what types of proposals have been successful in securing funding.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture is accepting applications for the Organic Certification Cost Share Program for 2025 and 2026. The program provides assistance to producers or handlers who are obtaining or renewing their certification under the National Organic Program. Certified producers may receive up to 75% of their certification costs, not to exceed $750 per certification scope.
