The Carpinteria-Summerland Fire Protection District is updating its Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) and hosting community workshops to gather input from the community.
A CWPP is a collaborative process designed with input from the community in partnership with government agencies. The CWPP must identify and prioritize areas for hazardous fuel-reduction treatments and recommend measures that homeowners and communities can take to reduce the ignitability of structures. The CWPP is a community plan that must be developed with input from the community. Interested growers and community members are encouraged to attend one of the CWPP Community Workshops and provide input concerning the CWPP.
