Vertebrate Pest Control Seminar to Be Held in Escondido

The San Diego chapter of CAPCA is hosting a Vertebrate Pest Control Seminar on Wednesday, September 13. The seminar will cover the following topics of interest to California avocado growers:

  • Laws and regulations updates concerning restricted use and second generation anti-coagulant pesticides
  • Rodenticide use
  • Integrated approaches to managing pocket gophers, voles and rabbits
  • Managing bird damage
  • Ground squirrel and tree squirrel management
  • Urban trapping and shooting wildlife
  • Disease exposure for wildlife management professionals
  • IPM principals applied to rodent control

The seminar will be held from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with registration at 7:30 a.m. The registration fee is $80 if purchased by September 6 or $90 at the door. The seminar will be held at the California Center for the Arts, 340 N. Escondido Blvd, Escondido, CA. Online registration closes September 6, but tickets may be purchased at the door.
