FFCRA Employee Rights Poster Available for Employers
The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) requires certain employers to provide employees with paid sick leave or expanded family and medical leave for COVID-19-related reasons. According to the FFCRA, employers who are subject to the act also must post a notice of FFCRA requirements in a conspicuous place on their premises. The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) has now made an FFCRA poster available for employers.
The FFCRA poster should be posted in a conspicuous on-site area. Employers also may email or direct mail the poster to employees, and post the notice on their internal or external website. Employers are not required to post the notice in multiple languages, but the DOL is working on making multi-lingual versions available. Employers do not have to give notice of FFCRA requirements to recently laid-off individuals or new job applicants, but they must give notice to new hires.
