Commission Joins 80,000 California Avocado Fans at Festival

  • Oct 22, 2019

For three days in October, the town of Carpinteria played host to more than 80,000 California avocado fans at its 33rd annual California Avocado Festival. California Avocado Commission (CAC) staff and volunteers were on hand to share nutrition information and California avocado-branded recipe booklets, avocado cutters, bumper stickers and magnets with attendees. In addition, California avocado growers were available to answer the questions of backyard growers and provide general information about the growing process to curious fans.

To increase its visibility at the festival, the Commission served as a silver sponsor and had the opportunity to showcase the California Avocados brand logo on the festival website, signage and event handout.

The festival also featured an AvoExpo tent with California avocado agricultural and historical photos, lessons in avocado grafting, FFA-restored antique tractors and the Largest Avocado Contest.
