Carbon Farming Project Tour

The Resource Conservation District of Greater San Diego County is hosting a Carbon Farming project tour for growers interested in learning more about carbon farming techniques. A tour of the small-scale experimental carbon farming project will take place on August 14 at the Tijuana River Valley Community Garden located at 2100 Hollister Street, San Diego, CA.

Attendees will meet head gardener Gregg Cady who will discuss weed management, carbon farming practices, soil health and climate change. He also will showcase four carbon farming practices utilized at the experimental site: composting, mulching, and two types of cover crops.
