2011 CAC Annual Meetings
Held in Temecula, Ventura and San Luis Obispo, on April 19, 20 & 21, the 2011 CAC Annual Meetings were a bit different from annual meetings held in the past. Feeling it imperative to see where we've come from, in order to move forward, CAC president Tom Bellamore spoke of the many firsts in CAC history. Moving forward, he spoke of his "7-Point Plan" for the California Avocado industry.
The newly coined plan, previously refered to as the sustainability initiative, has been introduced with the goal of enhancing industry competitiveness, viability and profitability over the next 3-5 years, and was received well by industry members who were in attendance at the meetings.
Because CAC staff cannot acheive the these goals without the support of the industry, we encourage you to review the 7-Point Plan and send us your questions, comments and concerns.
If you happened to miss the annual meetings, below is video footage from the April 20, 2011 meeting held in Ventura.
